Dear List.

I installed Galaxy in local System.As per documents I made the following change in the file universe_wsgi.ini,

tool_dependency_dir = /home/******/galaxy-dist/dependency_dir.

admin_users = **********@gmail.com

And after that tried to install some tool like bwa from Galaxy tool shed and it is showing error as give below.

Repository installation is not possible due to an invalid Galaxy URL: None. You may need to enable third-party cookies in your browser.

I went through the mailing list ( http://dev.list.galaxyproject.org/Invalid-Galaxy-URL-None-Installing-Tools-Shed-td4659659.html ) but could not find any solution.I changed the browser and enable the third party cookies also but same error is coming again and again.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Neeraj.

After enabling third party cookies, did you fully reload the Galaxy interface?

Hi Neeraj,

Just to double check: You also created this directory and made it executable? And have restarted Galaxy since editing the universe_wsgi.ini file?

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team

Hello, I am glad that you found the solution to the problem. I wasn't clear that you were not already logging in as the instance administrator. I am not quite sure how you were reaching the admin functions without this, but those details do not matter anymore. What may help is this link - instructions for creating the admin user - perhaps others will find it useful:

Thanks for reporting back the solution, Jen, Galaxy team
