Hi, I have been unable to install stacks to Galaxy on a web browser (Chrome and IE). The error I receive is:

"Repository installation is not possible due to an invalid Galaxy URL: None. You may need to enable third-party cookies in your browser."

I have disabled all browser adblock and pop up blocker options and this is still recurring. Can you help me?

Hello,

Install tools from within the Admin section of your own Galaxy server using your administrator account. Tools at Public Galaxy servers are set by the owners of that instance (new tools cannot be installed by users).

Also, the tool you reference is older. If it remains problematic - and other tools install Ok - you might want to choose the latest version from the IUC. Search with "stacks" when browsing the Main Tool Shed to filter. It is available as a suite, or you can install just parts of it.

Should no tools install, is your local behind a proxy server? Double check that the configuration is correct against the sample configurations linked below.

Help:

Keeping Galaxy current can help with tool installs (the current release is 17.09). If after updating Galaxy (as needed), and the IUC repo does not install, or no tools will install and the proxy settings seem correct, please let us know and we can troubleshoot more from there.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
