After much trial and error I have established an aws instance for galaxy. I see it running in my ec2 console and can access my galaxy GUI via my browser. I can't seem to figure out how to stop my session and save it in a rebootable form. On the CloudMan Console I have clicked the Shutdown link, but has resulted in my aws instance being terminated rather than stopped. What is the proper way to start, stop and reboot Cloudman Galaxy instances on aws?

If you use the 'persistent storage' option when launching your cluster, you can then shut it down through the CloudMan interface, which will save necessary data within your account and shut down the instance. You can then relaunch that same cluster from the CloudLaunch interface by clicking 'Fetch saved clusters' button (under the cluster name text box) and selecting your cluster name. CloudLaunch and CloudMan will bring your cluster back as it was before you shut it down.

(Having said that, there's currently a bug relaunching saved clusters that was reported earlier today so until the issue is resolved (https://github.com/galaxyproject/cloudlaunch/issues/119), the old launcher should work (https://launch.usegalaxy.org/).)

(Also, I'd appreciate it if you could summarize in a sentence or two (or longer if you feel like) the major stumbling blocks you ran into trying to launch your first instance. If you would, feel free to post it here, create an issue on Github (https://github.com/galaxyproject/cloudlaunch/issues) or just email me.)
