Question: Workflow is not initiating a job in my history

Hi All,

I'm trying to use a a workflow to do the last two steps of my analysis (map with bowtie for illumina and feature counts).

When I run the workflow it says its been executed but nothing appears in the history pane and it doesn't appear to be running bowtie or feature counts.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Do you by chance have multiple browser windows open for Galaxy? Jobs can end up in different histories than the intended target when this is done. Open Saved Histories to find where the jobs are.

Let us know if you find them, and if not, we can look into this more.

Hello,

I have been experiencing a similar issue for about a day now. The jobs do not appear to be moving into separate histories. Using individual programs works for me (i.e. TopHat not in a workflow), but my workflows do not.

Ok, the time frame is important, thank you for all posting. We updated the Galaxy Main server https://usegalaxy.org on Tuesday to the upcoming release and are integration testing. "New" problems need followup.

Executing a workflow seems to not be creating output jobs/datasets, in any history (same or new). Am following up with the developers. Updates will follow.

Please note that IF you are sending your workflow output to a new history, that history will need to be navigated to. Use the History menu (gear icon) > Saved Histories.

Hi, I am having the same issue as posted 8 months ago. After executing a workflow, I receive a green message indicating that the workflow has successfully started. However, the job does not show up in my history, even after I refresh it. The first option in the workflow, 'send results to a new history', was not checked. I repeated the workflow with this option checked, and when I examined saved histories, I see the workflow but there are 0 jobs running and nothing under 'status'. Any advice would be great. I am running Galaxy on a local instance. Thanks

Same problems seems to still be occurring. I have imported a workflow into my account and whether I try to send the data to a new history or in the same there is not queued jobs initiated. I get a confirmation upon clicking "Run Workflow" with the green box but nothing happens after that. Is this still an occurring problem? It seemed that this was addressed and fixed
