Hi

Probably a beginners question for most of you so apologies!

I have excel spreadsheet of 400+ mutations identified (each row is mutation identified hence multiple mutations in each patients sample)

I need to transpose the data so that each row is a unique patient and each column is a gene, however I then need multiple mutations in the one gene to be denominated

I then can add the clinical data

Any suggestions? Many thanks

Hello,

This is not really a Galaxy question, but the manipulation could be done within Galaxy. Tools to use:

  1. Export Excel data as tabular and upload to Galaxy
  2. Datamash > Transpose
  3. Join, Subtract and Group > Group

Many more text manipulation tools are available. For example, Join two Datasets may be useful.

Help to get started using Galaxy is at the top of this wiki page: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Support

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
