Hi there,

I've been working on making some customizations to a cloudman instance for one of our customers, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make changes to the universe_wsgi.ini file take and be perisistent. Every time I reset the galaxy instance or reboot the server to take up the changes I made, the universe file is replaced with a stock one. I've tried changing every universe file I could find and have even changed the universe file in the s3 bucket, only to find that it is changed back upon server reset.

I'm sure there's something obvious that I'm missing. Help!

Thanks!

Typically, the best way to edit the ini file is to stop the Galaxy service in the CloudMan interface. Make the changes quickly on the filesystem, then start the Galaxy service back up.

Modifying the .ini in the s3 bucket will not do anything.

Are you stopping the Galaxy service before attempting any modification? What are you trying to customize exactly, if that doesn’t help?
