I received the following error message when running stringtie merge: This job was terminated because it used more memory than it was allocated."

I have used 63% of my quota and was wondering if this error was due to the size of the job itself of the amount of space I have remaining?

If it is because of the size of the job, is there any way to run it through galaxy?

Hello,

The processing memory used to execute jobs is distinct from your account quota space.

The job may really be too large to execute at the target Galaxy server -- but input and/or parameter problems can also produce this type of error. The latter is more common, so re-reviewing upstream steps and data is worth it to ensure it is not contributing to the failure. Do this before moving to a server with more resources. The job might only fail again, as some input-related tool memory failures will never resolve without fixes/changes, no matter what resources the job is given or where the job is executed (and whether in Galaxy or not).
