Question: Galaxy datasets queued for a long time

My datasets have stopped running from yesterday and are now grey in colour (queued) for over 12 hours. Is it normal for them to be queued all of a sudden for such a long time?

Jobs can queue up to 24 hrs. Most will run much quicker than that. The queue time can vary and depends on factors such as how many other users are active on the server at any particular time. https://galaxyproject.org/support/#datasets-and-histories

If you are working on a different Galaxy server, contacting the administrators is how to find out if your jobs are just queued or if there is a server problem. Contact information is commonly on the home page of the server, or you can check here: https://galaxyproject.org/public-galaxy-servers/
