Question: FTP upload not working in Galaxy

I was trying upload files to Galaxy via ftp transfer, I am not able to connect it. From yesterday onward this is the case. I was using FileZilla to upload and the message was:

Status: Logged in

Status: Retrieving directory listing...

Command: PWD

Response: 257 "/" is the current directory

Command: TYPE I

Response: 200 Type set to I

Command: PASV

Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (129,114,60,56,117,87).

Command: MLSD

Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity

Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

Please help me on this

Some changes to FTP were made on the 19th. It doesn't sound like you are having issues related to the new FTPS protocols (and no issues are known), but I'm going to link that in here anyway for reference:

Hi Jen:

I think the new setting of FTP may be inconvenient to some users, could you please keep "the old method" to connect to Galaxy FTP server? Your assistance in this matter is deeply appreciated!!

Update for clarification:

Using the original method of leaving settings in passive mode, if all others settings are left at default, works for most users. The connection is still implemented to be secure. The only change is that when the connection starts up the pop-up window for the security certificate needs to be accepted.
