Hi there, I wanted to load a gff file into Galaxy, but the job is waiting to run for hours now. I tried with another gff file, same result. I deleted the file and reloaded it, still nothing happens. Can you please let me know what is going on? I checked on twitter but didn't see anything announced. many thanks Kathrin

I'll test to see if this can be reproduced using another account at the server http://usegalaxy.org.

Should you be working at different Galaxy, please comment back with the URL (if public) or if local/cloud and Galaxy version.

This type of issue is server specific. - Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team

Hello,

Update from our administrator Nate: All nodes are up [now]. All jobs should have started and/or finished.

Please check (everyone who ran into this problem) and if jobs are still grey, it may be because there are many jobs queued in your history or the target cluster is for a larger job (mapping tools) and that queue is busy. But all is moving as normal again.

Thanks for reporting the problem and glad we could fix this quickly! Jen, Galaxy team

Hi Magda, No other reports of Trinity delays have come in recently. There might be some other issue.

  • Start by checking the inputs - are they intact? Meaning: are green successful datasets with no metadata problems reported when expanded
  • Is your account quota under the limit? Make room if needed by permanently deleting unneeded data to make room and unpause jobs.
  • Are there multiple Trinity jobs and some are running/some are queued? If so, allow the executing jobs to complete, then the others should start up.

If all is Ok, please send in a shared link to the history to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org from your registered account email address and we can take a look. Include a link to this post please. I wasn't able to locate your account at http://usegalaxy.org with your username here.

Thanks for reporting the problem! Jen, Galaxy team

Thanks for sending in the history. The job has been queued for a bit over a day now which may indicate a problem or the queue might just be busy. More feedback soon. Meanwhile, I suggest leaving the job in the queue. - Jen

Hi Madga, please see my reply email for options about how to proceed.

If others have any Trinity jobs that are queued for longer than 24 hours, please also check inputs as described above and should there be a persistent problem, an email with the same content can be sent in for review.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
