I changed institutions and no longer have access to the email I used to set up my Galaxy account. It said to contact an administrator but I can't find any link to message an administrator directly. Can someone help point me in the right direction? I need to update my email address and password with my new credentials.

Thanks! Brian

Hello Brian,

Account information (including email and password) can be updated within Galaxy. This is how: https://galaxyproject.org/support/account-updates/

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team

Thanks Jen. I guess I need to clarify my question. I don't remember my password and don't have access to the email address linked to my account. Therefore I am unable to request a password reset because I will be unable to access the reset email. Is there a way to have the email address linked to my Galaxy account updated so that I can request a password reset through my new email address?

Correct, to do this the user would either need to know the password or be able to access the activation/reset links sent to the registered account email address. You can instead create a new account. If you later do remember the password, be sure to not use more than one account at http://usegalaxy.org.

So there's no way for an administrator to update the registered email address associated with my account so I can access the activation/reset link?

If I create a new account, I will lose access to my stored data which I am trying to avoid.
