Question: Workflow Execution Information Existence in the Back-End

Greetings:
When a Galaxy workflow is executed on the front-end, how can one retrieve a workflow's execution information such as user options, defined settings and any other variables related to the workflow run and execution in the back-end? I am imagining that information is collected and stored in a file, similar to when a workflow gets downloaded to .ga file from the front-end which contains every information of the workflow and its tools and details.
If there is a such a thing that exist, any ideas or pointers such as a directory/folder or location path in which I should search to find it, would be unbelievably helpful.
