Looking for available MAF data to use in a teaching situation.  The list of available files including MAF files does not seem to be available  (https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Main/DataLibraries/Available%20Data).

I might be looking in the wrong place, but there is nothing in the shared data/available libraries page.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I think all maf files are stored at the rsync server. For more details please refer to the Galaxy wiki: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Admin/UseGalaxyRsync

Hi,

Bjoern is correct: the MAF datasets available on http://usegalaxy.org can be accessed either through the tools on the server (tool group "Fetch Alignments") or by downloading them from the Galaxy Rsync server. However, these were all sourced from UCSC. Any hosted in Galaxy's Rsync and a few others can be found directly on the UCSC Downloads server. Locate data by the primary genome's common name -> release version -> Conservation.

Best, Jen, Galaxy team
