I was trying to export my histories from the public galaxy for backup. However I encountered the following error when i used the "Export to file" link from the History Options dropdown:
objectstore, __call_method failed: get_filename on , kwargs: {}
Any advice? :P

Not sure if related... but somehow my jobs had been stuck at the yellow "running" state for a long time. Or is the Galaxy server experiencing peak usage? Suddenly occurred to me that, perhaps https://status.galaxyproject.org/ could display current server load as well... to pacify anxious users :P

This may or may not be your case (I was able to generate the link for a history - no error message there) on the public Main Galaxy instance at http://usegalaxy.org. However, I would wait to use this function until it is resolved.
Just to make sure about this - at what step did you see the error? Or was it later in the process - meaning, loading into a local Galaxy or other? Please be aware that these files take time to "create" once the job is started - the link is shown but the data behind it takes some time to compress. The larger the history, the longer this can be. The compressed history stays on the server for a period of time, so you can get it later. This will be true even after the correction in the ticket above.

I have checked, there is no duplicate history name as far as i can tell, but i am still getting the error:
