Hi there! I am trying to download the files from a history from the Galaxy main. I go to "History Options" and hit "Export history to file". There used to appear a message saying that the history is being downloaded, but now it does not appear. Is there any other way to monitor if the files are being exported?

Thanks!

Ups, sorry, some more research has shown me that this is not a rare issue. I'll try to find clues in older posts...

Hello,

Are you working at Galaxy Main (https://usegalaxy.org)? If so, I just re-tested the function and it is working as expected. Maybe you need to click on the link to get status (within Galaxy).

Once the download is started your web browser can have preferences set to monitor the download. For, example MAC OSX Chrome will create a new tab under the primary window listing the downloaded file with a progress indicator.

This is how the process works visually in the Galaxy web browser GUI: https://imgur.com/a/B4Vc9

Hope this helps! Jen, Galaxy team

Hi Jen, Yes, I work at Galaxy Main. I've also tested the funtion with a very light history (800 Mb) and it works fine (as you illustrate in https://imgur.com/a/B4Vc9). But when I do the same actions for large histories (about 80 Gb) a blank page appears instead of the page with the link. I've tried Firefox and Chrome and there is no difference

Could it be just a matter of patience? The issue is that I cannot see whether the server is working on it or not..

Thanks a lot!
