I am using Deseq2 on galaxy for RNA-Seq data analysis. Earlier when I used to do differential expression using Deseq2, the header of the result files were according to the factor level names. Now the header says like "htseq-count on data 63 and data 62". Same way PCA graph as well denoting samples with these htseq count files. It is very hard and cumbersome to keep track and not ideal way to present statistical results. How can I revert back to earlier way of using Dseq2?

Hello,

The tool was updated to label columns by the input file names. Many find this to be more informative output formatting.

You can always use an older version of the tool if you want the previous output formatting.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team

Hello Jennifer, Thanks for your prompt reply. Just another naïve question, How can I revert back to the older version?

Bring up the tool from the side tool panel or with a re-run from a prior job, then use the "Versions" menu near the top of the form to make the change. I'm not exactly certain which revision had this change first. I think it was just the last version, but there were serval recent updates within a short time period. So either check your prior runs to find out or test a few earlier versions and review the output. Even deleted datasets have the job details "i" icon and the report includes the tool wrapper version used.
