Hi everyone,

I am trying to load some reference genomes onto our Galaxy production server. Following the advice provided on this forum (for instance, https://biostar.usegalaxy.org/p/19371/), I tried to use data managers to that purpose, but they only display reference genomes release until 2010. I have tried with the base "Reference genome" tool (v0.01), with "Create DBKey and Reference Genome" (v0.02) and, finally, "Rsync with g2" (v0.01). All of them listed the same genomes, which in humans fail to include hg38. The most recent human genome was Human Feb. 2009 (GRCh37/hg19) (hg19).

Is it normal? According to this post, the hg38 reference genome should be on the list of existing builds, but I definitely cannot see it. Am I doing something wrong? The tools are updated, and so is my Galaxy instance, which I updated via git pull. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

The tool "Create DBKey and Reference Genome" will create the genome description (shown in the UI) and dbkey. Use this when adding a few genome not in the existing list.

I corrected the other post.

Sorry for the confusion, Jen, Galaxy team
