Has anyone else been experiencing very long wait times when creating custom genome builds? I have tried several times in the last few days, and in all cases, the build have the "processing" status, and stall any tools that rely on them. I am assuming this is due to the updates; is there any workaround?

The fasta's I am using are ~2.8mb bacterial genomes with 2 contigs.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I was able to create a small custom build at http://usegalaxy.org. There was a recent server update that may have corrected this (along with other issues, not all a known).

Given that these have been processing for so long, I suggested deleting any in processing mode, recreating them, and waiting for these to finish processing before using with tools. For such small genomes, the run time should be less than an hour (and likely shorter). It is OK to navigate away from the Custom Builds page - the jobs will run in the background. Go back there to check when ready.

If these also stall out again, there can be other reasons we can look into besides those associated with the updates. Let us know.

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
