If you are a US-based academic, you can get access to the NSF Jetstream cloud for free - and we have just made a Galaxy virtual machine (VM) available there. The VM comes preconfigured with hundreds of tools and commonly used reference datasets. It only takes a couple of minutes to start one. Once running, you can use it or change it up any way you like.

Documentation on how to get access and create your own Galaxy servers is available on the wiki: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Cloud/Jetstream

Just a quick note here - Jetstream cloud is in the early phase of user acquisition and the allocation request process is thus very easy these days (~100 words about your research), with the approval typically happening within 24hrs.
