Question: Embedabble Workflows And Automating Execution

Two questions:
1. Is it possible to embed a workflow inside another workflow?
2. Is it possible to run a workflow via command line so that the
execution could be automated? Say some other process produces the
inputs, then command line or some other API (url maybe?) passes a
reference to the inputs and kicks off the workflow. I found this, but
no resolution:
