Question: cannot "Fetch Taxonomic Reprsentation"

Hi, I have a problem with "Fetch Taxonomic Representation" tool: it doesn't let me choose the GI column. Button appears blank. I've tried to run on data with just one column having the GI numbers, still gives error.
Some other user has posted the same problem here, and the answer was that "you can still select columns and execute the tool". How do I do that? Thanks.
