Question: How to specify a date picker in the tool xml

How can I specify that I want a date from users in the tool xml. 

I did not find a date datatype...

Right now i'm just using text fields and failing the tool if i can't parse the text, i think a date picker would be friendlier.

that is currently not possible, but afaik one high priority item on the ToDo list of the Galaxy devs is to move the tool UI to javascript. If that happens it would be easy to integrate such a data picker from JQuery-ui or similar.
