Dear Galaxy,

I noticed that on one of your pages you have WWFSMD? Grow spaghetti appendages, which obviously is a denigration of WWJD, What Would Jesus Do? As a believing Christian I find this offensive and unprofessional, I ask you to remove this title from your webpages. Academia is not the exclusive playground of atheists or liberals, you cannot treat Christians as though they were trash and did not exist.

Hi Matthew, and everyone else,

First, as background, the image that Matthew is referring to is the default image that is shown in the center panel of Galaxy when you first install it locally.

Second, Matthew, we will replace the image.  Look for a new image in the next month or two.

Thanks for posting,

Dave C

Hello there,

I still see the sign on the Galaxy website. You are professional IT people, how come it takes 4 days to take a simple logo off your website?

Dear Matthew

Dave has said that the image will be replaced, and has told you the timeframe in which that would be done. The Galaxy development team has more important things to spend their time on than rushing out purely cosmetic changes, so please stop being impatient.

Also, I don't believe that this image is even present on the main Galaxy website which the Galaxy team manages. As Dave says, it's just the default image that comes when you install your own version of Galaxy locally. If you are seeing it on an instance of Galaxy that you are using and you want a quick resolution, you might be better off contacting the administrators of that specific server directly and asking them to replace it.

Kind regards

Mark
