When I followed the video from Module 5 "Installing Galaxy Locally" the site I see is very different from in the video. I am completely lost on how to get Galaxy installed on my system.

If you want to install Galaxy use this site: https://galaxyproject.org/admin/get-galaxy/ An easier way is to use Docker and the Galaxy Docker image: https://github.com/bgruening/docker-galaxy-stable

Or you can use one of the many public Galaxy instance, for example usegalaxy.org, usegalaxy.eu or usegalaxy.org.au.

I tried Cygwin, and still can't for the life of me access Galaxy. I tried installing locally because running the programs on the public URLs was not working, making completing the Galaxy course on Coursera impossible.

Cygwin will not work, sorry. Which Galaxy server have you used and what is not working?

On usegalaxy.org the first dataset in the Galaxy 101 gave a "not enough space" error message after I waited over 30 minutes for it to run. I reported the bug, reloaded, and waited again, but the error was still there hours later. I no longer need help with Galaxy though as I quit Coursera. Galaxy is just too much trouble for me as a Windows user.

You have 250GB of space on usegalaxy.org and usegalaxy.eu, are you uploading more than that? Give usegalaxy.eu a try and let me know if this gives the same error.
