Hi, I tried to compare two datasets but got output that's incomplete. My dataset 1 has 15 columns and I am searching column 7 against dataset2 which only has one column. I got output table that only showed 7 columns instead of all 15. And it is in an ascending order by column7 instead of by the original dataset 1 order. How can I resolve this? Thank you very much.

Hello -

This is an odd result. Three choices for troubleshooting:

1 - A shared history link can be sent in if you are working at Galaxy Main (http://usegalaxy.org) or can reproduce the problem there. Mail-to: galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org and include a link to this post in the comments and send from your registered account email address.

2 - Same as 1 above, but first flter the history down (delete/hide other datasets) and publish the usegalaxy.org shared history link here as a comment if you do not mind the data being available publically.

3 - Paste in a few lines of the data (2 inputs, 1 output) so that we can test to see if the issue is reproducible. A Gist or another preformatted text method would be best. Please note the version of Galaxy in use and/or the URL of the server you are working at.

  • the first dataset
  • the second dataset
  • results from the comparison that produced this type of output

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
