Sometimes a history pane with lots of datasets can become a confusing place. Is it possible to change the colour of completed green datasets? If not could this be a feature? I realise the colour denotes error status (red), or completion (green), so maybe an additional border could be added?

There are more than two states of dataset in history. See https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Histories#History_Panel_Datasets

What color for what state do you have in mind?

I am happy with the current state colouring. What I would like is a way to quickly identify datasets in the history pane by applying colour to the uniformly green boxes, this could be a coloured border for example. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything similar, at the moment.

You can search on the contents of history using advanced features described here: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Histories#Advanced_searching This will narrow down the number of datasets shown in the history.

How would you apply the color to the datasets? I am still unclear on the use case here. You want to highlight a few and then have them highlighted until you cancel it? You can add tags to the datasets and then search the history for tags to quickly filter it.

Thanks for the hints. I think we can ignore my ramblings about colour.
