Are you sure you were logged in a user each time?  Click on the 'user' icon on the upper back bar. If it does not say 'logged in as [you user name]  then this might explain your missing files. You need to be  registered and then   logged in every time use use galaxy.

Yes I was logged in since yesterday.. I am still logged in, I am
continuing to upload the data, from my side I can see the files in the
usegalaxy.org root and I have putt them in a directory named
"senescence". But from the usegalaxy.org window I have no idea how to
find them..under the 'User' dropdown menu, under saved data I have few
things that I played with earlier..but where is the senescence
directory.

Again, I am a bit slow here.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing the help from UCD. More help for FTP upload is here: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Support#Loading_data

In short, FTP upload is a two step process: 1) FTP the files to the server 2) Use the Upload function to transfer the files into a history
