Question: LPED and PBED formats (PLINK)

Its it reasonable to assume that LPED and PBED formats are not in use/maintained anymore? I have tried to upload some files as specified in this page and there was no support for loading these files (e.g. multiple upload boxes).

Is it fair to assume that PLINK datasets are currently not directly supported (save for some external package in the toolshed)?

Yes, speaking as the person who originally worked on them, that's a reasonable assumption. Grant support for that work ended in 2010, but if there's anyone wanting to work on those datatypes and tools, please let me know and I'll provide whatever help I can...
