I see that the beta data library tool has gained some features recently.

I tried to use the From User Diretory method, but did not see any directories listed.

Importing from user directories does work for the traditional library tool.

Where can I find some docs on this? Do I need to set up some other locations in the config?

Hi Brad,

I am sorry for the poor documentation, we are about to change the way how to introduce things in Galaxy so this is somewhat of a transition time.

The setup stayed the same as with the previous UI. You need to set the value of user_library_import_dir in config to a directory and then within that directory there has to be a folder with the user's email.

My setup is user_library_import_dir = library_import and then I have folder path/to/galaxy/library_import/marten@bx.psu.edu

The files on the picture are within the folder with my email address.

Please let me know if you are getting any errors or if some things are not working correctly.

Thanks,

M.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Maybe my troubles are due to me running the October galaxy-dist tag.

I'll try again with the next release.

Now I remember, there was some incorrect behaviour regarding importing from user folders. It was fixe in https://bitbucket.org/galaxy/galaxy-central/commits/c86a489a597657c769848d2781af631ca668a279

However admin import (from path and/or specified import_folder) was working correctly before (both config options have to be on though).
