Hello,

What is the difference between "Concatenate datasets tail-to-head" under "Text Manipulation" and "Concatenate two datasets into one dataset" under "Operate on Genomic Intervals" I'm having trouble understanding the difference and when I apply it to my mapped reads for ChIP seq analysis which are SAM files but could also be formatted to interval files, only Text Manipulation works but operate on genome intervals does work. Could someone explain this difference please? Thank you .

Moin,

"tail to head" will just put one file under the other file. The other tool will put one file *next* to the other, but depending on the actual position of your location. For example, if you have overlapping regions in your two files the second tool will merge/concat both lines from both files.

Ciao,

Bjoern
