I just created a page on my local instance (User > Saved pages > Add new page) and would like to share it with another user so that he, too, can edit it. Is it possible? If not, is there any plan to make it possible?

Thanks!

Hi,

Pages are currently owned by a single account. To exchange for editing, "Share" the Page (direct account or by sharing URL), then they can import and edit, and after share it back. You share this way on any Galaxy instance.
http://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Learn/Share

Sometimes a common account for certain functions is useful for groups that do collaborative work. This is for use on a local or cloud instance. Some organization about who is using the account at any particular time is recommended to avoid odd behavior/conflicts.

But be careful to NOT share accounts on the public Main Galaxy instance (http://usegalaxy.org), or all accounts used by the people collaborating in the shared account will be picked up as duplicates and deleted.

Best, Jen, Galaxy team

We tried your suggestion, sharing  by URL. However, there is no way to "import" the page for people who have the URL. Moreover, the wiki doesn't explain the "import" phase. Could you give us more details? Thanks!
