Hey guys,

I just noticed that some tools allow the user to specify the computational resources for that specific job. So i tried running a Lastz mapping selecting the Stampede cluster at TACC, instead of the Galaxy cluster. The problem is the job won't complete and an error showed up saying that the Lastz tool was not found.

Is this cluster running Galaxy's tools already? Is it much faster than Galaxy's default cluster?

Thanks

Hi,

Stampede should be accessible now, but it looks like TACC has the partitions disabled, so jobs won't run (they will remain queued). I am not sure why this is the case, but I suspect they are sorting out some kind of system problem.

As for the errored job, could you click the bug icon to report it to us, so we can see the full stdout/stderr? Thanks.

Okay, I was able to reproduce the problem and have fixed the initial issue (lastz not found), but am still having problems getting the tool to properly finish. I'll update when this is fixed.

lastz should be able to run on Stampede now. However, the regular Stampede partition is still marked "down." The development partition is up, but the walltime for that partition is 30 minutes. I am not sure what is going on with Stampede today as the development partition has been up and down multiple times, and the normal partition has remained down.

Thank you Nate!

I just queued a Lastz mapping in both the Galaxy cluster and Stampede (development). Stampede already finished the job without errors and the Galaxy cluster is also working as usual (it only takes longer). Thank you very much for the attention!
