Hi, I am working with some samples in mothur, (I am new in mothur and in these subjects); and when I get to this step align.seqs (fasta = stability.trim.contigs.good.unique.fasta, reference = silva.bacteria.fasta, processors = 4)

I do not know what happens !!, I do not know what I'm omitting, but it appears ERROR did not complete align.seqs. !!!!

I do not know if you can help me, I would appreciate it very much.

Hi --

  • what does the job error report? click on the bug icon in the red dataset to review
  • where are you using Galaxy? https://usegalaxy.org or elsewhere?

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team

Hello,

Perhaps you solved your error already. If not, please feel free to write back with more details. There was not enough information in your original post to offer help.

For you or anyone else running into an error that does not have a resolution yet, these FAQs cover the most common reasons and solutions for tool failures. The help is focused on Galaxy usage, yet many solutions will apply to command-line usage as well, for Bioinformatics tools/workflows in general:

For help with tools wrapped for Galaxy, these tutorials cover usage examples. 3rd party tools also often offer support/help plus forums such as https://www.biostars.org/ and https://bioinformatics.stackexchange.com/ have ongoing general discussions. You can also search (google, etc) for the underlying wrapped tool and/or check the bottom of the Galaxy tool form for external resource links, publications/DOIs, and the like.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
