Hi,

I"m interested in setting up a local install of galaxy on our cluster. After doing a local install as a test, I can see that only basic tools have been installed (e.g. sorting, downloading, etc), but none of the biotools are installed. I am able to do that one by one, but: 1) that will take a long time 2) Ideally I'd like them to be in the same tool folders as the galaxy community hub, so that existing tutorials match.

Is there a way to install a large set of commonly used tools easily and consistently?

Thanks,

Hi Rob,

there are multiple way how you can install hundreds of tools into Galaxy at once. Please read the documentation of ephemeris. Example yaml file of tools you can find in either Galaxy Docker flavors (e.g. https://github.com/bgruening/docker-galaxy-ngs-preprocessing/blob/master/ngs_preprocessing.yml) or tools from the usegalaxy.eu server https://github.com/usegalaxy-eu/usegalaxy-eu-tools/blob/master/tools_iuc.yaml. Keep in mind you might want to install only tools from trusted persons/groups.

Cheers,

Bjoern
