I have had several Unicycler and Trinity jobs that seem to be stuck waiting for a long time. Tried re-submitting and a few Unicycler jobs did run, but most did not. Is there an ETA for when things will start moving again?

Hello,

There are no known issues with the cluster that runs these jobs, however, the queue will have a bit of a longer wait right now. All clusters are very busy. We can't predict exactly how long the wait will be (too many factors involved) except to state it could be a day or longer for certain job types (these are included).

Going forward, once a job is queued, it is best to allow it to stay queued. Deleting/restarting creates more load on the servers and clusters, places the newly started jobs back at the end of the queue, and by chance may get a job or two to launch quicker (related to how jobs are dispatched) yet for the majority of jobs increases the wait times for both you and others working on the same server.

That said, I am double checking with our admin for status, starting a few small test jobs, and reviewing your account/jobs to be certain that no new problems have come up this afternoon. Our team will write back with more feedback if there is an issue.

Thanks for letting us know about the delays! Jen, Galaxy team
