I am using Galaxy Main usegalaxy.org), and I will soon be using gigagalaxy. Both applications involve assembly (Trinity and SOAP de novo 2).

When I finish, do I have to sign off the computers that run the assembly algorithms, or does this happen automatically?

Thanks Rick Champion

Hello,

Jobs started while a session is active continue to run even if you log off, including jobs sent to external servers. If you have no jobs running, the account is just saved and static.

It is a good idea to log out of any application if using a shared computer. If it is your own, you can stay logged in or logoff - your choice.
