Hi,

My RNAseq data are huge, ~ 3 to 5 GB each. The university service provider ftp side has password, I asked but they say it is not possible to remove the password.

Thus not possible for Galaxy to fetch it from the ftp side.

Is there another way? I heard about the "library" upload, but could not figure out how to do it.

Could someone give me tip on this (in lay wordings please, as I have no bioinformatics background)

Thanks a lot!

Lucy

FTP is the way to go, but instead of hosting the file for Galaxy to fetch, you can use an FTP Client to upload it via FTP directly to the Galaxy servers.

See https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/FTPUpload for more information.
