Question: upload data for local galaxy

To get over file size limitations, I have installed a local galaxy but can't get files over 2 GB from my own computer into my own local galaxy.
Does it really need to be FTP'd from the computer to itself?

Have a look at Galaxy Data Libraries (https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Admin/DataLibraries/Libraries). This should solve your problems
