Question: is the main queue working?

hi - I submitted a very small job to tophat on the main public server about 14 hours ago (4.32 pm UTC) and it's still showing grey (not finished yet); I don't know if it has started and reached a block or whether it's still in the queue or whether something else is wrong. It is a single fastq file, with 6 reads in it (i.e. not a real dataset), so should be over in minutes or less once started.
any input would be much appreciated
