Hi, I'm working on a local galaxy installation and suddenly every job is ending in an error, even trivial stuff like uploading a small dataset (which also has worked before). The error message displayed in the history is:

    tool error
An error occurred with this dataset

when I click on "View or report this error" it says:

    Dataset generation errors

    Dataset 13: E25_2.fq

Tool execution did not generate any error messages.

What is the problem here, where do I get more Information, log files, etc.?

Hi

The log files might be anywhere...this depens on how your Galaxy server has been started. Contact the person who is administarting your installation.

And just as a random guess: something is wrong with your database. Is your Galaxy installation using SQLite?

It's using a PostgreSQL database.

Apparently the problem had something to do with our PostgreSQL setup.

I am glad to hear, you could identify the problem. Do you mind sharing the solution, so others who might run into similar issues will be able to profit/learn.

The database server is running on a different machine, that day we had some downtimes, followed by some maintenance work, which must have caused the problem.
