Question: FastQ files unzip

Hello

I have loaded the zipped file for FastQ analysis. Do I have to unzip it before I run FASTQ groomer?

.gz compressed data are uncompressed upon loading into Galaxy (with default settings). Maybe double check and see if that is already occurring where you are working?

That said, some public Galaxy servers are set up to work with compressed data, but that is a special use case.
