I'd like to convert the MultiZ MAF file for chromosome 1 to FASTA format. The UCSC .maf file is about 67G, but the upload limit for Galaxy (via FTP) is 50G. Is there a way I can upload files that are larger than 50G or an alternate way I can do this format conversion?

Hello,

The limit is 50 GB. To load larger data, upload in smaller chunks. Even with data from the same chromosome, as long as the dataset can be uncompressed, this can be done, even if just splitting by line numbers. Once in Galaxy, the datasets can be put back together with the tool Concatenate.

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
