Hi,

I had a bunch of jobs on various datasets that caused me to hit the disk quota limit. So I permanantly deleted pretty much all of the old jobs and even though my current history is still showing ~20GB, the slider showing the quota is still at 100%, so I am unable to execute any task on my account. I have been waiting for a couple of hours for the quota slider to refresh but that isn;t happening. I have also deleted all other old histories, (even though I did not have any), just to be sure.

Please let me know how I can get around this.

Thanks a lot,

Sayantan

If you reply here (or email me) with your username or email I can recalculate this.  I am unable to find 'toomanybugs' in the users list.

Hi Dannon,

Many thanks for the quick response. For some reason I was unable to log in here with my Galaxy credentials, so had to use my Google email. My Galaxy email is sayantan_bose@hms.harvard.edu.

Ok, done.  Can you tell me which method you were using for deleting/purging?

Great. Thanks a lot! I was using the 'Delete Permanently' function under the history settings. And I also did delete hidden datasets.

Thanks a lot

Ok, great, thanks for the extra info!  I'm trying to reproduce the issue here locally so I can fix it, but have generally had trouble doing so.

Sure. Also, if it helps -  I had been running many jobs and repeatedly deleting off older jobs and datasets until one job made it hit %100 and then it would not come down.

Best

Yeah, our hunch right now is that this is a race condition caused by deleting while other jobs are being scheduled or finished.  Hopefully we'll have it sorted out soon, thanks again!
