I would like to extract and use this number and put it in the number of lines of "remove first" option needed in the tool "remove beginning" of a table.

I've seen in the workflow we can change "the remove first" option to "to be set at runtime", but I would like it to be set automatically using the "x" value.

As far as I know, there is no current method to pass parsed line counts as input to this tool. However, a task-specific tool like this could be created and used within Galaxy. If this interests you, this section of the Galaxy wiki has help for creating tools:

If someone else knows of a method (using UUIDs?) - please add to this post.
