Galaxy Portal, the mobile interface to monitor Galaxy job status, is now available as a free app in the Google Play store to everyone. Search for "Galaxy Portal" and it will probably be number four or five in the list of apps. For additional information go to https://github.com/Tarostar/QMLGalaxyPortal and look on the main page and also at "Releases".

Other Platforms

An iOS version is pending review. Linux and Windows versions can be downloaded as binaries from Github. The source is built on Qt and freely available under the GPL.

Hello

it is really nice, I like it.

Is it possible  to link with a personal Galaxy server  instead of the main Galaxy ?

Thanks in advance,

Mohamed

Thank you. Yes, just change the Galaxy URL field with the URL of you local instance, for example https://localhost:8080

localhost:8080 won't be accessible outside of the machine unless you adjust ports/NAT to make it accessible from the network and/or Internet (and then it won't be called localhost)

For any Galaxy that is accessible through the Internet this app will work.

Good point. I just used my own local server as example, but any URL that you can reach in a web browser on the smartphone (pad, tablet, laptop) you should also be able to use in Galaxy Portal.

Galaxy Portal has now been approved by Apple for iOS too so you can get it for free on your iPhone/iPad through the app store.

Hello, You'll need to contact the developer or perhaps they will see your comment here and write back. That app was a community contribution that hasn't been updated in 3 yrs and may no longer be functional or supported with ongoing development. Galaxy itself has had many upgrades since then.
