Greetings,

I am attempting to manipulate a VCF file containing the genomes of 28 gorillas. Specifically, I was wondering if the VCF tools in Galaxy's NGS toolbox, in conjunction with VCFlib, could be used to locate insertions and/or deletions at specific genomic sites. If so, you could direct me to the specific tools that would be most appropriate?

Thanks

Hello,

The tool "VCF-BEDintersect" will pull out specified regions. Use "VCFfilter" first if you want to limit the results to just the inserts/deletions in the VCF.

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
